The Xiaomi Mi 11 would arrive in December ...

Post by sanjay kumar »

The first smartphone equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor is expected to be from Xiaomi. For the first time, Samsung would be given priority by one of its Chinese rivals.

On social networks, Xiaomi already claims to be "the first manufacturer in the world to use the Snapdragon 888". A surprising statement in the sense that, until today, Samsung has always benefited from exclusivity in this area.

However, according to the latest rumors, the Chinese manufacturer should indeed honor this promise.. These smartphones could serve as a technological foil for Xiaomi by introducing some innovations.

120W charging on the program?

For several hours, the leaks have accelerated on the Mi 11 range. We know in particular that these two devices should use an OLED screen curved on all four sides with a refresh rate of 120 Hz (definition Quad HD +). In other words, Xiaomi would drastically improve its offer compared to the Mi 10 released at the beginning of the year which were satisfied with an update of 90 Hz and Full HD +.

The most important innovation of the Mi 11 would be in the recharge. If the “first price” product would be satisfied with a 50W wired charging and a 30W wireless charging, the Mi 11 Pro supported an ultra-fast charging of 120W once connected to its charger and would exceed 80W thanks to at a special Qi station. Xiaomi has already announced that it has this technology in the past but was not yet ready to commercialize it. It seems that the Mi 11 Pro is the first to benefit from it.

On the photo side, stolen images show that Xiaomi would have found a way to take inspiration from the iPhone camera module without copying it. The Mi 11's photo block would be square and conceal its three cameras in a fairly clever way.

Only the classic Mi 11 would be equipped with a 108 Mpix sensor (in addition to a 13 Mpix ultra wide-angle and a macro module). The Mi 11 Pro would benefit from a very sophisticated 48 Mpix sensor, an ultra wide angle attached to a 20 Mpix sensor and a telephoto lens with x2 zoom attached to a 12 Mpix sensor.

Xiaomi's photo offer would thus be less spectacular than that of the competition, but undoubtedly less muddled. We can't wait to see how the Chinese manufacturer will fare and if, by chance, all this would not conceal a Mi 11 Ultra with a periscopic zoom and why not a front camera under the screen. Xiaomi just showed a prototype of this style a few weeks ago.

On the price side, rumors in yuan suggest that Xiaomi should not review its strategy. It is very likely that the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro cost at least 799 and 999 euros in France, like their predecessors. Logic would want these products to be first announced in China, to get ahead of Samsung in terms of communication before arriving in Europe in 2021...[/color]
