The Ukrainian media group Inter Media Group has successfully launched eight HD channels on the Astra 4A satellite (4.8 ° E), which until now have been broadcast only in SD quality. High-resolution image upscaling extends to commercial stations Inter, K1, K2, NTN, Mega, Enter Film, Zoom and Piksel.

All channels in high definition have been distributed to tp. B37 at 12.437 GHz, pol. V (SR: 30000, FEC: 2/3; DVB-S2 / 8PSK). Channels broadcasting in parallel in SD versions will eventually be disconnected. The broadcast of all content is encoded in the Verimatrix system for subscribers of the Viasat Ukraine and Xtra TV platforms.

According to recently released information, the unencrypted channel for foreign countries Inter + will also be broadcast in HD quality. While it remains in the SD version.

Inter Media Group is the only one of the four largest private broadcasters in Ukraine that did not broadcast HD channels on satellite. Competitive players in the market StarLightMedia, Media Group Ukraine and "1 + 1 Media" have already implemented HD broadcasts, and the latter group offers only one of its stations in HD, or rather 1 + 1 HD.
