PS5: Sony presents the controllers for its next virtual reality headset

Recovering technologies from the PS5 controller - in particular the triggers - the two controllers of the future PS VR offer a truly futuristic look. But where is the helmet?

The headset is long overdue, but the controllers are (soon) here: Sony has unveiled the two controllers of its virtual reality equipment dedicated to the PlayStation 5.

Two controllers with a futuristic look, a kind of three-sided Möbius ribbon spiraling around the wrists. Which are divided into all the classic Sony joystick controls - triangle and square on the left, cross and circle on the right, etc.





Equipped with analog stocks, both controllers are equipped with haptic feedback and borrow adaptive triggers from the PS5 controller. A technology that should enhance physical immersion.

Still in the field of physics, the controllers of the future version of the PSVR will detect the simple contact of your fingers, even without buttons / sticks / triggers. What to improve (simplify) the interactions of the hand with the games, promises Sony.

No specifics as to weight, autonomy or price: it was for Sony to start to make gamers salivate while waiting for the complete system.

While Sony has our positive opinion on the controls - the PS5's controllers are fabulous - we're still waiting to see the headphones.

And two unknowns bother us about it: the management of latency (partly responsible for motion sickness) as well as the definition of display panels.
