The Channelizer is a windows channel editor for .chl and .sdx files by @nikkpap.

Receivers like Tiger - Viark - GTMedia - StarSat e.t.c. create files of this format from the USB menu / yellow button.

The ready-made lists like that will load the memory of your receiver with channels that you may not have the necessary satellite dish size to receive and some channels do not play. So the right choice is to go Menu/ Installation/ Satellites/ select the satellites you receive according to your home installation to have only the channels that you are recieve. If you like manage your channels or like make your own favorite channels list there is no Windows program that works properly. That's why my friend nikkpap made this at my suggestion.

Thanks for sharing this tool. I gave The Channelizer a try today and can confirm that the Windows SmartScreen warning is normal, since the app isn’t digitally signed. Just click More info → Run anyway and it launches without issues, as shown in the screenshots.

The interface is actually pretty straightforward once it loads channels, PIDs, frequencies, favorites, all editable in one place. Much easier than trying to rearrange everything directly on the receiver with the remote.

I agree with the note about ready-made lists: they often include satellites or transponders that you can’t receive depending on dish size or location, so it’s better to load your own .chl/.sdx file from USB and customize it.

It looks like you’re trying to manage and edit satellite channel lists using the Channelizer tool for .chl and .sdx files. Here’s a clear breakdown:

Windows Security Prompt: Ignore the “Windows protected your PC” message by selecting More info → Run anyway. This is normal for unsigned programs like Channelizer.

Receiver Files: Receivers like Tiger, Viark, GTMedia, StarSat, etc., generate .chl or .sdx files via the USB menu (yellow button). These files contain channel lists from pre-made sources.

Ready-Made Lists Issue: Many ready-made channel lists will:

Include channels your dish cannot receive.

Contain channels that may not play properly.

Fill your receiver’s memory unnecessarily.

Best Practice: Instead of using full lists:

Go to Menu → Installation → Satellites on your receiver.

Select only the satellites your home dish can receive.

This ensures you only store and view channels that are actually accessible to you.

Custom Channel Management: Currently, no Windows program perfectly manages or customizes favorite channel lists for all receivers. That’s why the Channelizer tool was developed—to help you edit channel lists manually, but using it properly requires selecting only relevant satellites and channels.

This approach avoids clutter, prevents playback issues, and keeps your receiver organized.
