SPI International/FilmBox is preparing broadcast changes to its pay channel portfolio after a long period of time. In the coming days and weeks, the Czech-Slovak version of the FilmBox Stars channel will be launched. The channel will be available in high definition, in particular in Full HD.

Operators have already been notified of the change in the distribution of the FilmBox Stars program. Nej.cz, for example, is looking forward to a change in distribution that could happen by the end of next week. FilmBox Stars will differ from the original version not only in that it will no longer contain the original and Hungarian tracks, but will also adapt its content. The Czech-Slovak version of course also includes localized graphics.

FilmBox Stars is another SPI International channel operating under the name FilmBox that switches to high definition. The only channel that currently continues to operate at standard picture quality is FilmBox Family. HD will also be expected to be rolled out for this channel in the future. On the other hand, some of the original plans were not carried out. For example, it was long assumed that the DocuBox channel would also be localized.
