The news and information channel Polsat News can be received free of charge in HDTV from satellite as well as from Polish terrestrial transmitters. The operator launched the Polsat News HD codec HEVC broadcast.
FTA Polsat News HD broadcasts in the context of the TV Mobilna pay package, which is a Polish multiplex 4 (MUX 4). Signal distribution over this terrestrial multiplex is provided by the Eutelsat 33E satellite at 33 East, which can be received throughout Europe, including the Polish part of the packet distribution.
The Polsat News HD channel broadcasts in the HEVC codec (H. 265) and therefore requires a receiver that supports this codec to receive it. The broadcast is being broadcast in an abnormal resolution of 1920x540, and some receivers may have problems displaying correctly. In addition, there is also to shift the sound to the image.
