Italian VH1 HD & Spike HD start soon at 13 ° E

March 1 of this year, the HD versions of two Italian channels belonging to the American company ViacomCBS will appear on the Eutelsat Hot Bird 13B (13 ° E) satellite: VH1 HD and Spike HD . In addition, a simultaneous broadcast in MPEG - 4 / SD compression of another Super station will be launched ! the same broadcaster.
The parallel broadcasting of these channels will last until June 2021. Then broadcast channels VH1 SD, Spike SD and Paramount Network SD and Super! (MPEG-2) will be disabled.
The technical parameters of Spike HD, VH1 HD and Super are not known at the moment! (MPEG-4), but it should be assumed that they all appear on transponder number 18 of the Italian operator M-Three SatCom of the Eutelsat Hot Bird 13B satellite (13.0 ° E) at a frequency of 11.541 GHz, pol. V, SR: 22000, FEC: 5/6, DVB-S / QPSK.
The maximum audio / video bandwidth provided for the VH1 HD and Spike HD should be 2.8 Mbit / s and 2.7 Mbit / s, both channels will be streamed at 1440x1080i.
