An African TV channel in the Republic of Togo switched to HD broadcasting from the Eutelsat 9B satellite (9 ° E). It is an unencrypted international TVT station broadcasting at 11.900 GHz, pol.H, which until now has been broadcast in SD quality and with MPEG-4 image compression.

The Republic of Togo is located in West Africa in the Gulf of Guinea, and TVT was the first on the African continent to launch HD satellite broadcasting for Europe.

Télévision Togolaise (TVT) offers news, social, educational, documentary, sports, entertainment and children's programming in French. The channel in its current formula has existed since 1990, but its history dates back to the late 1960s, when the Togolese government decided to create a television in the country that would promote information, education and entertainment.
