W-Sport extends to France..

Women’s sports channel W-Sport has extended its reach to France with a new distribution agreement with Free.

The channel is being carried in the French language on the Freebox (the triple play box) basic tier (Channel 62).

The news follows distribution deals in 2023 in Belgium, Portugal, the Netherlands, Malaysia and Indonesia. W-Sport is also available in over 30 territories in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Kelly Butler, Chief Executive Officer, W-SPORT, said: “Launching our channel in one of Europe’s largest territories, particularly in the native language, is a landmark moment for W-Sport’s evolution. 2023 has seen extraordinary momentum behind Women’s Sport globally and W-Sport continues to grow in parallel – with Free in France we take another step forward. W-Sport’s content offering includes a mix of live and delayed premium event coverage across numerous sports as well as topical magazine programming and documentaries.
