Windows 11: taskbar, Start menu, here are the first images..

Post by sanjay kumar »

While Microsoft is preparing to present its future operating system, the first images of Windows 11 have been shared on the Web. We can see in particular that the Start menu and the taskbar have undergone a hell of a brushstroke. Check out the first screenshots below.

The future of Windows will be discussed shortly at a conference organized by Microsoft on June 24.

It is therefore highly probable that the Redmond firm will reveal the contours of Windows 11, which until then was called Windows 10 Sun Valley .

Anyway, screenshots have already been disclosed on the Web, in particular on the Chinese site Baidu, reports The Verge.

We can see that the future interface and the new Start Menu will look a lot like those planned for Windows 10X, a light version of the operating system for small machines.

Which is not surprising. Because if Windows 10X was abandoned, its main features were supposed to be included in the next flagship update of Windows.

Obviously, this leak only corresponds to a first version of Windows 11. So much so that all its new features and functions are not yet included.

Windows 11: a revamped interface

Concretely, what to expect visually speaking? First, app icons nestle in the center of the taskbar. The Start button is also getting a facelift, as is its menu.

There are pinned applications (Mail, Microsoft Store, Settings…), recent files and a button to shut down or restart the system.

It is obviously possible to add other apps to it given the available locations. You will understand, the Start menu of Windows 11 is much simpler and more refined than that of Windows 10.

The notification center remains in the lower right corner. In addition, the windows now feature rounded corners.

This can be seen in contextual menus as well as around applications and the Start menu.

Note also the new icon that can be seen on the taskbar.

Named Widgets, it allows you to access news, weather and other content at a glance like the News and weather widget, which recently arrived on Windows 10 .

Note that the Windows Store remains the same for the moment. However, future versions of Windows 11 should have a renovated shop.

For its part, the Xbox application is changing significantly. It provides quick access to Game Pass titles, the Xbox Store and social features...
