Samsung Galaxy Book Go, the Windows ARM laptop to compete with Chromebooks..

Priced at less than $ 350 in the United States, the Galaxy Book Go uses the ARM version of Windows 10 and a Qualcomm SoC.

Samsung has just announced its new laptop, dubbed Galaxy Book Go. It looks like a MacBook, but it's a Windows 10 machine powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 platform.

With an announced price of 349 dollars for the Wi-Fi version, Samsung intends to offer a competitor of Chromebooks , which use Google's Chrome OS operating system.

The computer has a 14-inch TFT Full HD screen, 4 or 8 GB of RAM, and 64 or 128 GB of flash memory for storage. For connectivity, it has two USB Type-C ports and a USB 2.0 port.

On the other hand, Samsung skips a direct HDMI output. The Galaxy Book Go accepts micro SD cards, as well as a nano SIM card for the Wi-Fi + 4G version. It also has Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 interfaces.

Samsung has designed a thin (323.9 x 224.8 x 14.9 mm) and light (1.38 kg) machine, which accesses the manufacturer's ecosystem with the Quick Share, SmartThings and SmartThings Find applications.

It is even possible to use a Galaxy Tab S7 tablet as a second screen.SoC Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 will be available later this year.

It is not yet known if the Galaxy Book Go will be available in France...
