For two CES editions, Samsung has presented TV screens from its prestigious The Wall range, with diagonals ranging from 73 to 292 inches. Pre-orders for the 110-inch model are opening in South Korea, and it is expected to arrive in other markets early next year.
You find the 146 or 219 inch models of The Wall, from Samsung , too big, but the 73/75 inch formats, are too small? No problem, the 110-inch (2.79-meter) diagonal version only hits the market during the first months of 2021.
What, perhaps, give you time to put in enough silver aside to offer you this magnificent panel studded with microLEDs to display your favorite 4K content.
The surface of the panel occupies 99.9% of the visible space and more than 8 million pixels will light up according to the images. This TV is advertised as 100% compatible with Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 color standards and supports HDR, of course. Finally, it is possible to divide the screen into four equal parts to display several sources at the same time.
The audio part is provided by an on-board 5.1 system, called Majestic Sound System , which can analyze and follow the movements of objects on the screen in order to better immerse you acoustically. The speakers would be invisible and implanted in the housing.
Quality pixels for an astronomical price
Whether you want to hang it on the wall (hence its name) or you plan to install it on a stand on a solid piece of furniture, the price should exceed 100,000 euros ... and remain below the 300,000 euros mark. . A nice range, certainly, but which gives a good idea of the budget to invest. Samsung has not yet given a price for the models available for pre-order for a few days.
The 110-inch model is produced as a unit, unlike the larger models. It was designed using technologies inspired by that of Korea's semiconductor division, Samsung Electronics. Good news, therefore, The 110-inch Wall does not require any specific procedure to get started. Several pairs of arms will however be necessary to take it out of its box, without a doubt...
