The Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) has announced that the Express-80 satellite is now operation.

This follows the successful conclusion of flight tests on the satellite, which was launched into geostationary orbit from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on July 31, 2020.

Express-80 is located at 80 degrees East and provides fixed and mobile services, including digital TV.

Its orbital position is right over the centre of Russia.

The Express-80 satellite is designed to support as follows: fixed and mobile services; digital TV and radio broadcasting; high-speed Internet access, and data transmission in the Russian Federation and abroad

So there is hope for the beam of Express@80e reaching abroad ie may be Central Asia which may reach South Asia just like it used to do earlier before the earlier Express@80e stopped.At that time signal of 80e was good even at 78e position on a 2 feet dish here.
